Now I propose to play. Artemis – game for several players. This is a role -playing game. This is the simulator of a real captain’s bridge, where each player controls his individual terminal. There are six terminals: captain’s screen, weapons screen, helm, engineering screen, scientific terminal, communication terminal. There are three more screens, however, their purpose is clearly not thought out as it should: it is a reviewed screen (as a captain, but with the ability to switch to the card, and with an incomprehensible screen that shows the game logo and the perspective jumps), the captain’s card (a regular card+scientific map without the Scan button), Gamemaster (very deliciously called the terminal, in essence, differs from the scientific.Only in the same absence of a scanner, but with the added opportunity to display messages to the main terminals from the behalf of the game).

Actually, why is all this muddy with the screens? The game involves constant communication. The captain practically does not have management on the terminal, but it can (and must) give instructions to his subordinates: “pilot, impulse up to a hundred”, “weapons, charge a torpedo”, “coherent, send a request for joining”. And already for subordinates, fingers and mice should work promptly. Although the game does not shine with dynamics, even in battles, however, the work should go well. So, the weapon has a limited area of ​​defeat, which means that the pilot, dodging the torpedo, may prevent the arrow from making a shot. The enemy shields have vulnerable frequencies that a scientist can find out, but only a shooter can use this information. In the docks, you can replenish the reserves of weapons, but you can fasten only by having on board the coherent. Finally, a coherent message may send a coherent message so that the enemy switches from a vulnerable target to a more hardy enemy. Again, gas stations literally break the ether with requests for help.

A few words about the elements of the game, pleasant and not very.

Space
Cosmos in the game flat. T.e. Initially, the game is inhabited by opponents (they can conditionally call them pirates), gas stations (which are free of charge of our ship with everything necessary) and players (the game has slots for 6 ships that can play on the same map). There are also abnormal phenomena (the same nebulars, monsters, asteroid fields), but how they affect the game, I can not say.

Opponents
The game has three hostile races. Each royal-fortune.uk/ has its own specifics, but not so much as to list them here (to be honest, he played only against one race, and they did not amaze me with rationality or cunning in battle).

Star Trek
The game is practically not related to the Star Trek universe, but I cannot name another game that would be so close to the series precisely in spirit.

Weapon
On the one hand – everything is corny. Guns, missiles … but to bargain energy to torpedoes, or, conversely, let the torpedoes for energy with a shortage is already something new.

Ships
You can choose from several types, from nimble scouts to heavy dreadnoughts. The race is only one playable – human.

Graphics
The graphics can be seen on the screen. But given that this is more role -playing game, not a simulator, everything is very good. Even, in its own way, beautifully and stylistic. Plus, game from the category of indie. One person makes it, and extremely openly asks for help not to offer. If necessary, he himself asks for it (music, for example, at a very high level, and decent sounds).

Control
Depends on the selected role. From convenient and intuitive in the pilot and arrow, to the most convenient for everyone else. And the captain is extremely randomly, since it all depends on himself in particular and the team as a whole.

Internet/Network
The game was conceived as a network, while all players are indoors. But after pressing the developer from the players – he finalized the game so that the inconsistent nature of the Internet connection was taken into account, but it still will have to play through Hamachi, since the server needs to be connected through IP, and personally, it was displayed with intra -networks with a test mileage, t.e. to the router. Perhaps I can be found from the Internet if I know the address, but I doubt.

The game is decent. But also designed for 6 players. The game is currently worth – $ 40. But not for 1 copy of the game, but for the distribution. T.e. buys one, and gives everyone in the team. The developer does not set the conditions for the number of installation and distribution. Asks only not to distribute it around the world. A completely legal request, I think, and, by the way, it seems to be successfully fulfilled. I could not find a torrent on Russian servers known to me.

Demo
Before buying a game, the developer gives to play in a cut copy with an underestimated version. The world has not changed much, but you can play only three roles: captain, pilot, shooter. By the way, an extremely familiar model, available for free old version, paid and constantly modified new. Indie-developer. Unusual gameplay … But the cost is big … yes … not $ 15.
